Her Story

An east coast girl at heart, my creative influence stems from my mother’s keen eye for beauty and my father’s spirit of adventure. It was the love of a surfer that brought me to the crashing waves and majestic cliffs of California. Lovers of the sea… I married my better half barefoot on the beaches of Hawaii. There I was rooted in a new love and respect for the ocean and Polynesian culture which continues to inspire me through surfing, hula and tahitian dance.

God. Ocean. Pure. Beauty… these are some of the words that describe the source of my inspiration. From the days of fashion sketches to my daughter’s hand crafted hula skirts to the jewelry I create… it’s always been my passion to help girls feel beautiful. It’s not always easy to find that beauty in yourself, but I’ve learned to shine in the beauty of my imperfections and discover the rare jewel we all were created to be. It was friend and author, Christina DiMari, who helped me to see that like pearls, sea glass and other rare gems, it is the unique beauty and tossing about by the waves of life that give us the value and worth we each carry.

My intent in creating Sea Roots is to offer premium ocean-inspired jewelry that is both casual yet sophisticated, for the gal who wants a bit of relaxed elegance wherever she goes. The Sea Roots collection features unique gems and timeless designs that reflect the beautiful coastlines of California and Hawaii. The belief that quality should never be compromised for quantity combined with my love and respect for the ocean and surf culture, gives Sea Roots the authenticity and natural beauty that is seen in each handmade piece.
